Torrey Pines Falcons 44, Fallbrook Warriors 0

On a wet and wild week 3 night the Torrey Pines Falcons traveled north to take on the Fallbrook Warriors. The Falcons looked to keep the winning momentum going as they came out of the gate, after forcing a Fallbrook three and out Marc Bingham takes the handoff and strides untouched 60 yards for a Falcons touchdown. Still in first quarter Torrey Pines marched down the field all on the ground this time it’s Evan Galluzi from 3 yards out to put the Falcons up 14-0.

After a pinning the Warriors deep in their own end zone, the Falcons blocked a punt for a safety putting Torrey Pines up 16-0. Midway through the second quarter Evan Galluzi scored again this time from 9 yards out 23-0 Falcons. Sully O’Brien decided to get into the action when he takes the underneath handoff and goes down the sideline 35 yards for another Torrey Pines touchdown.

Falcons Defense was phenomenal on this night not allowing Fallbrook past the 50 yard line. Forcing huge tackles for loss, a safety and 1 interception. Fallbrook now falls to (0-3) on the season and will face the Christian Patriots next week. As for Torrey Pines who improve to (2-1) on the season they will continue to road rage as they will travel to El Camino to face off verse the Wildcats.

Be sure to tune in to the Prep Pigskin Report next Friday for all the highlights.

PREVIEW:As we roll on to week 3 the red jackets will be traveling to Fallbrook high school as the Warriors will play host to the Falcons of Torrey Pines in a non-conference game. The Warriors will come in to this game hungry for a win as they are (0-2) after coming up short in the finals seconds against the Del Norte Nighthawks 27-21. Though it’s still early in the season the Warriors have struggled on offense only scoring 21 points and surrendering 68 points on defense. Junior quarterback Jake Mcbroom leads Fallbrook with 2 touchdowns on the season and will want to redeem himself after being sacked on the final play of the game last week.

Meanwhile the Torrey Pines Falcons will have a tough stretch the next few weeks as they play 4 straight road games. The Falcons were able to bounce back last week by getting some much needed revenge on the Santa Fe Christian Eagles 35-17 and evening their record at (1-1). The Falcons are used a balanced attack on offense lead by junior running back Mac Brigham had 3 touchdowns and 150 yards on the ground then Jason Hines throwing big touchdowns like the one to Sully O’Brien for 52 yards last Friday.

The last time these two teams faced off was almost one year to the date with Torrey Pines winning 20-0 at home. With Fallbrook hosting the game this year will the Warriors bring the heat this Friday for a W? Be sure to tune into the Prep Pigskin Report this Friday at 10:30 pm only on KUSI.
