West Hills 53, Santana 11
West Hills pulled out all the tricks and treats on Halloween as they defeated the Santana Sultans 53-11.
Not only did the win propel the Wolf Pack to 7-2, they repeated as winners of the Jack Dale Cup.
West Hills dominated from the beginning. In the first quarter, Wolf Pack receiver Raphy Carr caught an 11-yard catch on third down which set up Jacob Shaw with the 7-yard touchdown. West Hills leads 6-0.
Moving into the second quarter, Wolf Pack receiver Taj Broomfield had a touchdown of his own to extend West Hill’s lead to 13-0.
Not to be outdone, Devon Hathaway got in on the action. Quarterback Spencer Moyer dropped back and threw a long pass to Hathaway. Hathaway ran into the end zone to extend the West Hills lead 19-3 going into the half.
The momentum continued in the third quarter. A familiar face found himself back in the end zone. Carr ran 65-yards for the touchdown. West Hills up 26-3.
Still in the third, Shaw had a 16-yard run, which helped him set up his own 7-yard touchdown. West Hills leads 33-3.
The Wolf Pack went on to score a few more touchdowns. The Sultans scored their only touchdown near the final seconds of the fourth.
West Hills will host Monte Vista next week while the Sultans travel to Granite Hills to face the Eagles.
