Umbrellas were in fashion at Torero Stadium where the San Diego Legion hosted the defending MLR champs from Seattle.
In the 27th minute the official calls a penalty try on the Seawolves. giving the Legion a 7-0 lead.
Just before halftime Paddy Ryan finds Mikey Te’o who dives over the line for the slip-and-slide try. San Diego takes a 14-3 lead.
In the second half Seattle’s William Rasileka scores the try cutting the margin to 4 points.
But the Legion defense holds on for a 17-13 victory, their first win of the season.
