Project Wildlife works to save San Diego’s most vulnerable animals

Project Wildlife is a program of San Diego Humane Society.

The organizations merged in 2014 to ensure the continuity of saving the most vulnerable animals in San Diego: injured wildlife. As one organization, we provide the necessary care for all animals in San Diego, companion animals and wildlife.

The work of Project Wildlife ensures our community can continue to enjoy wildlife and educates people on how to do our part in maintaining the rich biodiversity of San Diego’s ecosystem.

Project Wildlife cares for 10,000 injured, orphaned and sick wild animals throughout the County each year with the goal of returning healthy animals to the wild.

San Diego is in the top 10 most bio-diverse cities in the world – with 320 different wildlife species. The natural beauty and access to wildlife are what make our city so unique and special.
