Property tax bills seeing increases from school bonds

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Property tax bills have hit San Diegans’ mailboxes, and many have noticed an increase due to recently passed school bonds. And many more school bonds will be on the ballot in March 2020.

San Diego Unified’s most recent bond-Measure YY was for $60 for every $100,000 assessed value. The median price of a home in San Diego County is $570,000 equating to an additional $300+ of property taxes.
