Proposal to stop major electrical utilities from starting more fires in California

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – In 2018, a camp fire broke out in Northern California and quickly became the deadliest and most destructive fire in the state’s history.

Investigators found that a faulty electric transmission line started the fire.

Countless other wildfires in California have also started because of electric utility equipment. So how can we stop it?

Attorneys Mike Aguirre and Maria Severson from Aguirre & Severson LLP were in studio to discuss their proposal to stop utility-caused catastrophic fires.
