Proposed measure to defund high speed rail project fails

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The proposed ballot measure to effectively defund the California high speed rail project has failed.

The measure, endorsed by former San Diego City Council Member Carl DeMaio, did not get the nearly 585,000 signatures needed by the May 28th deadline.

DeMaio was in studio Wednesday morning speaking about his efforts to gather signatures and Prop B.
