Pt. Loma 40, Lincoln 20

The lights were shinning bright in Lincoln Stadium as they took on the Pointer’s of Point Loma. Each team was going into the game battling for a winning record but it was the Pointers who jumped out to the lead first. In the first quarter, Lincoln’s punt was blocked by Point Loma’s Cole Kidd. This sets up Quarterback Gavin Grady’s 1-yard touchdown run. Point Loma leads 9-0. That didn’t keep the Hornets from stinging back. Donell Pleasant plows through the line for the 67 yard touchdown run. The score is now 9-6 Point Loma. Changing directions in the second quarter, Jacob Ehm answers with a 22 yard touchdown run and from then on out it was a Pointer party. Point Loma goes on to win the game 40-20. Next week they will face another city rival at home verse Morse while Lincoln travels to Chula Vista to take on the Eagles of Olympian.
