Race Guards are CPR certified first responders ready to help racers

Race Guards are seen at most races in San Diego and actually across the country.

They bring in teams of medical professionals and endurance athletes that are all certified at a minimum of CPR, First Aid, and AED operation.

Depending on the size of race, they bring in 15-40 Race Guards.

They run in pairs. Fast, medium, slow pace the entire distance keeping an eye out for people that need things along the way.

They carry medical packs and some have AEDs in the event of cardiac arrest.
