Rady Children’s Medical Team Headed to China

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A Team from Rady Children’s headed to Chengdu, China to teach ECMO at a local hospital.

The ECMO machine replaces the function of the heart and lungs. People who need support from an ECMO machine are cared for in a hospital’s intensive care unit (ICU), according to the hospital.

This is the second time the team will train practitioners at Chengdu Women’s and Children’s Central Hospital.
