‘Rebuild San Diego’ to change city’s future
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The current leaders over at City Hall have announced big plans for the future of San Diego.
And no, it’s not a new Chargers stadium.
What you’re looking at here is your tax money doing what your tax money is supposed to do, making the community a better place to be.
For the first time in seven years, a long delayed library is going up in a place that could really use one.
After decades of ignoring things like pot holes, drain pipes, police stations and libraries, it’s finally time to catch up.
It’s time to spend money where it was originally intended.
The call it, "Rebuild San Diego" and the mayor has become the salesman-in-chief.
The price tag is between $4 and $5 billion.
So instead of city officials padding the pensions, or spending the money on pet projects, taxes would be spent as intended.
A public vote in June would guarantee just that.
