Candace Owens speaks to record crowd at the Republican Party of San Diego County’s February event
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Thousands of San Diego County Republicans gathered Monday night to hear from political activist Candace Owens.
Owens was invited to speak at the Republican Party of San Diego County’s official February event. Her appearance attracted thousands of conservatives to show up to hear her speak with family and friends.
Candace Owens is the founder of Blexit, the star of PragerU’s “The Candace Owens Show,” and the author of “Blackout: How Black America Can Make Its Second Escape From The Democrat Plantation.”
Just before going on stage, Candace Owens took a second to speak with KUSI’s Hunter Sowards live on the KUSI News at 6. Owens told Hunter her message to the audience is, “one that’s about hope, and I hope that is what people see in me, and that’s why they feel inspired, because sometimes the situation can seem pretty helpless depending on where you are. It definitely was for me. As a black American, to come out and say, I don’t support the Democrat party, and people thought that was sort of an impossible mountain to scale, but I did it.”
Shortly after her exclusive interview on KUSI, Candace took the stage in front of more than 2,000 Republicans from all over San Diego County. Her complete speech is below.
San Diego Mayoral Candidate Scott Sherman and other local Republican candidates also spoke at the official bi-monthly meeting of the Republican Party of San Diego County. KUSI’s Hunter Sowards got to speak with Sherman before the event started.
