Reuters Poll: Black male approval for President Trump doubles in one week

A new Reuters poll taken on April 29, 2018 has President Trump’s approval rating among black men at 22%.

Although this number seems small, the same poll rated President Trump’s approval rating at 11% just a week before. The April 22, 2018 poll sampled just under 200 black males each week and just less than 3,000 people overall.

Furthermore, the poll shows that the amount of black men who said they had “mixed feelings” about President Trump increased from 1.5% to 7.1% in the same time period.

The poll is interesting as the increase in support comes at the same time hip-hop legend Kanye West publicly announced that he is a supporter of President Trump. See what Kanye said here.

Do you think President Trump’s increase in support among black men is a result of Kanye’s comments or something else? Let us know on the KUSI News Facebook page.
