‘Road Rage’ driver arrested for running vehicles off the road

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A “road rage” suspect was arrested by the California Highway Patrol Thursday.

John Albert Young, 42, is suspected of intentionally steering his Ford F-350 into other vehicles, pushing them off the road on the northbound Interstate 805 near Governor Drive and southbound State Route 163 in the area of Friars Road on Thursday

Police found Young at a business in Kearny Mesa and arrested him. His vehicle was impounded.

Young, a San Diego resident, was booked on suspicion of two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.

He was arrested for two counts, but CHP believes there may be other victims.

Young was released from custody on bail Friday afternoon.

CHP said if anyone was hit by a Ford F-350 in the last 2-3 months, they are encouraged to call Investigator B. Clinkscales at 858.637.3800.
