Roommate Scam, Heads Up! & A Full Investigation!

Wednesday, February 06, 2013 – The San Diego City Attorney's office alerted KUSI's Michael Turko to a nasty scam that's targeting local college students. Turko says it begins when they respond to an ad for a room for rent. Prosecutors believe there may be more victims of Jazmine T. Ford and other con artists running the roommate scam.     State officials are now looking into serious allegations against a local doctor after Turko exposed dozens of medical records dumped in the trash behind his office, promising a full investigation. Dr. Edward J. Ahn told Turko on the telephone the documents weren't his and he had no idea how they got into the dumpster. We'll see how that works out for him with state investigators.
