Woman rescued from San Diego Bay

A woman was pulled unconscious from San Diego Bay just north of the USS Midway pier Sunday.

The woman was taken to a hospital and said to be in critical condition, San Diego Harbor Police said. She was spotted shortly before 1 a.m., and someone jumped in to save her and started yelling for help, according to Harbor Police.

An officer jumped in, pulled both ashore and started trying to revive the woman, Harbor Police said.

Harbor Police have been unable to identify the woman. How she ended up in the water was unknown.
