Saddles in Service to provide training for East County fire explorers

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – While our first responders protect the safety of the public, our heroes still have to protect their own mental wellness.

The nonprofit Saddles in Service uses horseback riding along with other outdoor training to help people embrace their strengths.

On Dec. 7 & 8, approximately 50+ firefighters and fire explorers will be gathering at Saddles in Service to conduct hands on training for East County Fire Explorers.

Tammy Oluvic, CEO of Saddles In Service, and John Burningham, Viejas Fire Captain, were in studio to tell us more about it.
