Sailors aboard USS Carl Vinson have tour of duty extended by 30 days

NORTH KOREA (KUSI) — Sailors aboard the San Diego-based USS Carl Vinson have had their tour extended.

U.S. Pacific Command has extended the Vinson’s tour by 30 days. The ship and her crew have also been redeployed to the Sea of Japan. 

This is an attempt to deter North Korea from further nuclear and ballistic missile tests.
