Sale of Mission Valley stadium could result in lawsuit if sold at a discount

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The City’s sale of the Mission Valley stadium site to San Diego State University could be in jeopardy before it even begins.

The City of San Diego’s water fund owns half of the site. If the City sells the property to SDSU at a discount, the City would be subject to a lawsuit because it would impact water ratepayers.

KUSI Contributor and Former City Attorney Jan Goldsmith was at in studio to discuss.
