San Diegan local celebrates 105th birthday by getting married in surprise wedding

A San Diego local celebrated his 105th birthday Thursday by marrying his girlfriend of 45 years.

Norbert Stein and Edlemira Velasquez tied the knot during a surprise wedding.

The wedding began at 5:30 p.m. at the Living Coast Discovery Center in Chula Vista.

Friends and family had no idea that Stein’s birthday celebration would include a marriage ceremony.

Stein settled in Chula Vista in 1958 and has lived there ever since.
