SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The San Diego Council on Literacy (SDCOL) is challenging San Diego’s finest chefs to prepare gourmet dishes inspired by their favorite book or literary character for the annual “Eat. Drink. Read. A Culinary Event for Literacy”.
The event raises important awareness and funding for SDCOL’s network of affiliated literacy programs. The goal is to raise much needed funds to support the nonprofit’s 29 affiliated literacy programs that annually serve more than 179,000 residents of all ages at no cost.
“Eat. Drink. Read. A Culinary Event for Literacy” will be held at the San Diego Air & Space Museum in Balboa Park this Thursday, May 2 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
