San Diego County gas prices down for 11th consecutive day

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County fell Monday for the 11th consecutive day, dropping one-tenth of a cent to $3.726.

The average price has fallen 2.6 cents over the past 11 days, including two-tenths of a cent Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The streak of decreases is the longest since an 18-day streak from Dec. 5-22.

Monday’s average gas price is 1.7 cents less than one week ago and seven-tenths of a cent lower than a month ago, but it’s 76.4 cents more than one year ago.

San Diego County’s average price is 2.1 cents more than the state average and 83.1 cents more than the national average. It has risen 60.7 cents since the start of the year.
