San Diego County in need of foster families

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – At any given time, there are children who are in need of an adoptive home in San Diego. Currently there are about 2000 children in foster care; 66 currently at Polinsky Children’s Center in San Diego County.

To talk about the shortage of foster families in the County and how people could possibly get involved, Kim Giardina, director of child welfare services and Nanci Weinstein, a foster mom were in studio on Good Morning San Diego.
