San Diego County Thanksgiving closures

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – Federal, state, county and city offices will be closed Thursday for the Thanksgiving holiday.

In the city of San Diego, administrative offices, libraries, parks and pools will be closed.

Chollas Lake and the Tecolote Nature Center will also be shut down.

While there will be a one-day delay in curbside trash pickup, the Miramar Landfill will operate on its normal hours of 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Mission Trails Visitor Center will be open, as will public golf courses. However, the Balboa Park and Torrey Pines golf courses will close at 3 p.m., and the Mission Bay links will shut down at 5 p.m.

Parking meters will not be enforced, according to the city.

San Diego County offices, libraries, animal shelters, community centers and teen centers will be closed both Thursday and Friday, and resume their normal schedules Saturday.

Most county-run parks and campgrounds will remain open during the holiday period.

The Metropolitan Transit System will operate its buses and trolleys on a Sunday schedule on Thanksgiving. No service will be provided on Rapid Express, Sorrento Valley COASTER Connection, other Express bus routes.

Regular service will resume Friday, though Rapid Express buses will operate with reduced frequency.

The North County Transit District will also run its buses and trains on a Sunday schedule on Thanksgiving, with regular service resuming on Friday.
