San Diego gas prices continue to climb
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The summer increase in San Diego gas prices continued Wednesday, as the price of a gallon of gas hit its highest point since May of 2014.
The average price for a gallon of gas is now up to $4.219, the highest price since May 9 of last year.
Average prices have raised 72 cents since last Thursday, including a 12-cent increase on Tuesday. Prices have increased almost 61 cents from the same time one month ago, and are 13 cents higher than they were in July of 2014.
The latest increases in prices, according to AAA, comes from an insufficient supply to meet demand, in addition to the Torrance ExxonMobil refinery continuing to remain offline.
