San Diego ‘Heart & Stroke Walk’ event held Saturday; northbound SR-163 to close

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Northbound State Route 163 will be closed Saturday morning from 5-11 for the 2015 San Diego Heart & Stroke Walk.

The connector ramps from northbound and southbound Interstate 5, the 11th, A, and Robinson streets, and Park Boulevard on-ramps to northbound SR-163 will also be closed during this time.

Southbound I-5 to northbound SR-163 traffic will be detoured to the southbound I-5 B Street/Pershing Drive exit, then west on B Street, south on 16th Street, east on C Street, north on 19th Street, north on I-5, and east on I-8 to northbound SR-163.

Northbound I-5 to northbound SR-163 traffic will be detoured north on I-5, then east on I-8 to northbound SR-163.

Motorists are reminded to "Be Work Zone Alert" and to move over a lane when safe to do so, or slow when highway workers are present with amber lights flashing.
