San Diego Humane Society’s Walk For Animals to benefit nearly 50,000 animals

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – In just a few weeks, hundreds of pet lovers will gather in Escondido for one of the largest fundraising events in San Diego: the Walk for Animals.

The San Diego Humane Society’s Walk for Animals benefits nearly 50,000 orphaned pets. Their mission is to create a more humane world by inspiring compassion toward the animals who are in need of a forever home.

The Humane Society is hosting the event to raise funds to help care for the nearly 50,000 wild and domestic animals that come through its doors.

For more than 20 years, the Humane Society has brought the community together to help animals in need. They are committed to helping orphaned animals stay healthy and find their forever home. But, that mission is not possible without support from San Diegans.

Walk for Animals gives people a chance to make a difference.

The Walk for Animals festivities include a scenic two-mile walk at Kit Carson park, a pancake breakfast and fun-filled doggie activities, plus an array of vendor booths.
