San Diego Mayor on helping small businesses amid pandemic and SDFD helping battle wildfires

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer is scheduled to tour several restaurants in Little Italy to see their outdoor setups.

Faulconer is encouraging small businesses to take advantage of relaxed rules to allow the expansion of outdoor dining, including expedited permitting and fee waivers.

The mayor joined Good Morning San Diego to discuss expanded outdoor dining saying “200 businesses now hold permits for outdoor operations as part of city’s ‘streeteries and streetail’ expansion to help small businesses survive.”

Faulconer also address how the San Diego Fire Department is providing aid to wildfires in San Diego County and across California.
