Homicide investigation underway in El Cajon

EL CAJON (KUSI) — San Diego Sheriff’s homicide detectives were called to the unincorporated El Cajon area east of Gillespie Field Saturday morning where a body was found, according to officials.

A call to 911 was made at about 6:30 a.m. of a person who needed help in the 500 block of Danny Street. Deputies responded, and homicide detectives arrived about an hour or two later, according to a sheriff’s official.

Deputies were called in to help close streets in the area and conduct traffic control. Main thoroughfares in the area include Graves Avenue to the west, Bradley Avenue to the south, Pepper Drive to the north and North Mollison Avenue to the east of the scene.

No details were released regarding the cause of death or whether the victim was a man or a woman.
