20-year-old killed in Skyline drive-by shooting

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — A 20-year-old man was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting at an intersection in Skyline Friday night, Lt. Manny Del Toro of the San Diego Police Department said. The man was standing in the intersection of Brookhaven Rd. and Sears Avenue before being shot multiple times. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, Del Toro said.

"Police also learned there was a party in the area of the shooting, but it is unknown if anyone from the party was involved," Del Toro added.

A dark-colored sedan pulled up to the victim and opened fire on him. The vehicle was seen fleeing the scene eastbound on Brookhaven Rd., according to Del Toro. Police were dispatched to the scene at 10 p.m. Saturday and discovered the victim suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body.

The San Diego Police Department’s Homicide Unit asked anyone with any information regarding the shooting to call them at (619) 531-2293.
