SANTEE (KUSI) — A man was found unresponsive after an assault in the San Diego river bottom in Santee and is not expected to survive, according to authorities.

The 50-year-old man was found unresponsive and suffering from severe trauma to his upper body by deputies near Chubb Lane and North Magnolia Avenue, Sheriff’s Lt. Kenneth Nelson said.
