Motorcyclist pronounced dead after striking pickup truck in Bay Ho

BAY HO (KUSI) — A 55-year-old motorcyclist struck the rear-left side of a pickup truck in Bay Ho after allegedly running a red light, authorities said Saturday. The man was pronounced dead at a local hospital shortly after the incident, which occurred after 9 a.m. at the intersection of Morena Blvd. and Avati Dr. 

The driver, a 61-year-old man, was not injured in the collision. He was driving a 2004 Chevrolet truck, according to Officer Frank Cali of the San Diego Police Department. 

The truck driver was making a left turn onto Morena Blvd. when the rear of his truck was hit by the victim, who was operating a 2006 Harley-Davidson, Cali said.
