120 mph police chase ends in Oceanside

OCEANSIDE (KUSI) – A man jumped the border early Monday and led Border Patrol Agents and California Highway Patrol on a chase on the Interstate 5. Police chased the man at speeds of 120 miles per hour for 65 miles before apprehending him in Oceanside.

Police set up a spike strip near Camp Pendleton to pop his tires. He did not follow police requests to exit the vehicle with his hands up. CHP then used bean bag rounds to break one of the windows allowing police to take the man into custody.
