2 men shot in Jamacha while sitting in a garage

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — Two men were shot and wounded when someone opened fire on them while they were sitting in a garage in the Jamacha area of San Diego, according to San Diego police. The shooter opened fire on the garage before fleeing the scene in a dark-colored vehicle. The incident occurred Friday shortly after nine p.m. at 7922 Gribble St., San Diego Police Department Sgt. David Jennings said. 

One of the men suffered a gunshot wound to the head, while the other was shot in the leg, according to Jennings. Both victims were transported to a local hospital and are expected to survive. The victims were 56 and 58 years of age. 

The incident remains under investigation by SDPD. A motive for the shooting has not been established.
