Man stabbed in head and chest during Redwood Village confrontation over woman

REDWOOD VILLAGE (KUSI) — A quarrel between two men over a woman ended with one man sustaining multiple stab wounds, according to police. The victim confronted the boyfriend of his ex-girlfriend, causing a fight to break out. The suspect remains at large after stabbing the ex-boyfriend several times in the chest and head, though the wounds are not considered life-threatening. 

The incident occurred at 12:50 a.m. Saturday morning at 5400 Streamview Dr., according to San Diego Police Sgt. David Jennings. The 48-year-old ex-boyfriend was taken to a hospital for treatment and the suspect fled, Jennings said. 

The suspect is described as a 5’8, 200 lb. black male who goes by the nickname "Mokie." He is bald and was last seen wearing a red and white shirt. Mid City detectives are investigating the stabbing and fight, Jennings said.
