San Diego People: NAACP San Diego Chapter President Francine Maxwell

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – In this week’s edition of KUSI’s San Diego People, Brandon Stone spoke with the President of the NAACP San Diego Chapter, Francine Maxwell.

Stone and Maxwell discussed a variety of topics important to the African American community, and the San Diego community as a whole.

Maxwell began detailing the long history of the NAACP in San Diego, before explaining how the murder of George Floyd changed the public’s view on race in the 21st century.

Then, the two discussed the importance supporting black-owned businesses in San Diego, and the hardships some Black business owners face that you may not know about.
