San Diego restaurants pushing for extension of outdoor dining permits

ENCINITAS (KUSI) – San Diego restaurant owners have a new hope tonight and a new partner to keep “outdoor dining” open.

For many restaurants, outdoor dining permits were meant to be temporary to accommodate for the government lockdowns during the pandemic.

Outdoor business has become such a success, now most restaurants want to make it permanent.

KUSI’s Dan Plante joined viewers live with a twist on this issue.
