‘San Diego Rise Up’ seeks to make local change in a nonpartisan way

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A citizens advocacy group is fighting back against the latest COVID-19 restrictions in San Diego.

Founder of San Diego Rise Up, Melissa Grace, joined KUSI’s Jason Austell on Good Morning San Diego about an upcoming meeting where people can come together to find solutions.

The group was formed in June 2021 upon hearing that Nathan Fletcher, Chair of the San Diego County Board of Supervisors, was given an award from the San Diego Events Coalition for his leadership during the pandemic.

The group plans to speak at the next Board of Supervisors meeting happening on Aug. 17.
