San Diego Symphony to collaborate for rare performance

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The San Diego Symphony Orchestra will be presenting a unique performance with musicians from the Mariinsky Orchestra of St. Petersburg.

They will perform Dmitri Shostakovich’s 7th Symphony, known as the Leningrad, together.

This concert will be the first time the Mariinsky Orchestra has combined with a U.S. orchestra and will set the record for the largest number of musicians to perform on stage together at the Jacobs Music Center’s Copley Symphony Hall on October 24 at 8 p.m.
