San Diego temperatures to soar by end of week

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The end of the week will bring about temperatures far higher than those typical for this time of year, as meteorologists expect a 15 to 25-degree increase before the weekend rolls in.

Per the National Weather Service, temperatures just west of the mountains will see temperatures into the 90s, while the coastal areas of the county can expect temperatures in the mid-to-high 80s.

A slow cooling trend is expected to slightly break the temperature spike by Sunday, yet the heat is still expected to be above average with little to no chance of rain.
