SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL
San Diego Junior Theatre (Balboa Park)

Dr. Seuss’ best-loved characters collide and cavort in this unforgettable musical caper! Now one of the most performed shows in America, Seussical is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza bringing to life all of our favorites including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, lazy Mayzie and a little boy with a big imagination – Jojo. The colorful characters transport us from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus ands even into the invisible world of the Whos.

MAN OF LA MANCHA

Inspired by Miguel de Cervantes’ seventeenth-century masterpiece Don Quixote, MAN OF LA MANCHA is one of the most successful musicals in Broadway history. Powerful, brutal, hilarious, and heartbreaking, MAN OF LA MANCHA celebrates the perseverance of a dying old man who refuses to relinquish his ideals or his passion. NINE
Lamplighters Community Theatre (La Mesa)

Based on 8½, Italian director Federico Fellini’s comic masterpiece of autobiographical filmmaking, Maury Yeston’s sultry and enchanting musical follows the life of world famous film director Guido Contini as he prepares his latest picture and balances the numerous, numerous women in his life. The original run of Nine won 7 Tony Awards including best musical and best musical revival in 2003 starring Antonio Banderas.
• NINE was made into a motion picture in 2009. The ensemble principal cast consisted of Daniel Day-Lewis, Marion Cotillard, Penélope Cruz, Judi Dench, Fergie, Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman, and Sophia Loren.
• Lamplighters is partnering with the San Diego Center for the Blind. During the run of the show, donations are accepted in the theater lobby. ROALD DAHL’S CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY
