Competitions have ranged from National and World Championships to the Lipton Cup, from Junior Regattas to the Olympics, and from Classic yachts to the America’s Cup.

General Manager Terry Anglin accepted the award on behalf of the SDYC saying, “Yachting is a global activity and lifestyle and SDYC was extremely excited when the Yacht Club classification was added to the 2020-21 Platinum Clubs of the World election. This Platinum Club of the World designation will assist in enhancing global relationships for Club Members and Club Managers of these clubs and we are very proud to be recognized with the finest Yacht Clubs around the world.”
