San Diego Nighttime Zoo: China Celebration

June 25- September 5, 2011.

Long summer days mean more time for fun at the San Diego Zoo. Beginning June 25, 2011 and continuing through Labor Day, September 5, 2011, the Zoo will be open from 9:00 am until 9:00 PM.

The theme of this year's Nighttime Zoo celebration is China Celebration. To mark the event, the Zoo is welcoming Chinese acrobats, adding a new animal show and hosting a troop of robotic actors. The Zoo will also debut a new exhibit for its northern Chinese leopard. In addition, the gates of the Zoo's Asian Passage will open on a new experience called the Panda Trek. The Panda Trek is a summer attraction that will take you on a journey to explore more of the world of Giant Pandas and other wildlife that share the forests of China.

When Zoo visitors are ready to call it a day, all of the acrobats, musicians, stilt walkers, and greeters from all around the Zoo will be gathered on Front Street between 8:00-8:30pm for a large San Diego send off!
