San Diego’s first plant-based Japanese restaurant The Yasai to open soon

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Rakiraki Ramen & Tsukemen Owner and Executive Chef Junya Watanabe is opening San Diego’s first vegan Japanese concept restaurant, The Yasai.

Since opening in 2012, Rakiraki Ramen & Tsukemen has been recognized numerous times for the best ramen in San Diego. With lines out the door, it has a hearty cult following.

He’s now taken on the challenge of using only plants to create the same level of ramen, sushi and other dishes.
