San Diego’s Marriott Marquis keeps honey bees on rooftop to reduce carbon footprint

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The Marriott Marquis located in Downtown San Diego keeps honey bees on their rooftop to reduce the hotel’s carbon footprint.

Travis Wolfe, beekeeper at the Marriott Marquis and founder of Best Friend Bees, talked to us about what it’s like to tend to bees on a downtown rooftop.

The Marriott Marquis also uses the produced honey in their restaurants in a variety of dishes and cocktails!
