San Francisco businessman John Dennis is running to take over Nancy Pelosi’s seat
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi represents California’s 12th District in San Francisco.
As you may know, San Francisco has an enormous homeless problem that seems to be growing by the second. Furthermore, San Francisco has some of the highest housing costs in the entire country.
Nancy Pelosi has been representing the San Francisco area as a member of Congress since 1987, and the problems have only gotten worse.
In 2020, San Francisco businessman John Dennis, will be challenging Pelosi for her seat in the 12th Congressional District. In addition to being a successful businessman, John Dennis is the San Francisco Republican Party Chairman and Vice Chair of the Republican Liberty Caucus.
Last week, Dennis made headlines when he posted a photo of a homeless man defacating in an aisle of a Safeway store in Pelosi’s district. The photo captures how serious San Francisco’s homeless problem is, and Dennis believes the Democrats policies are attracting homeless people to San Francisco, and enabling them to break the laws without being punished.
Dennis says the answer is to arrest, then offer a choice. Jail or rehab.
KUSI’s Paul Rudy spoke to John Dennis about his campaign for the 12th District, his policies, and why he believes Republicans still have the opportunity to win elections in California.
