San Marcos Knights 43 at Del Norte Nighthawks 0
Friday nights game featured the San Marcos Knights versus the Del
Norte Nighthawks, it’s kicked off at 7:00 pm and it was over and done
with with by 7:05 pm. Now clearly they didn’t play all four of the
scheduled quarters in such a short amount of time but that’s how fast
anyone watching this game took to know this was over after the third
play of the game. Running back Tyler Rodgers took his first hand off
and went a smooth 53 yards to start off the scoring for the Knights.
On their next possession the Knights marched downfield and added a
little trickery in the red zone when quarterback Bryson Bolin tossed a
backwards pass to the left tackle…. Yes the left tackle for a 7 yard
touchdown pass and to add insult to injury five plays later the
Knights needed just one play on the next possession to score again.
Bolin would add to his touchdown total on the year by tossing a 57
yard pass to Terrell Burgess, who put on a show at wide receiver
making long catches short catches even one han
ded catches. That quarterback to wide receiver tandem was by for the
best I have seen in the county this year.
Now as far as it goes for the nighthawks this just wasn’t their night
they struggled to simply gain first downs throughout the game. The
final score was 43-0 and believe me it wasn’t even that close.PREVIEW
This season has been one to forget so far for the Del Norte nighthawks, Coach Patrick Coleman has only been able to guide his team to one win so far this season. The Nighthawks are 1-5 and this Friday they are looking at a tall task when they come up against The 4-2 San Marcos Knights.
The Knights are looking to add another win to their conference record, and to do that they will need their junior quarterback to continue his run of success. Bryson Bolin has been outstanding in the passing game this year, he has already thrown for 21 touchdowns and more then nineteen hundred yards. It’s not often you see the high level of accuracy from a young quarterback but Bolin has been looking far beyond his age on the field this season. He has spread the love around when it comes to receptions, He has touchdown passes to six different receivers with Terrell Burgess being his main target hauling in eleven of the twenty-one.
One paper this looks like it’s gonna be a one sided affair, but as we all know the game aren’t played on paper there played on the field under the lights of Friday night.
