San Ysidro Cougars 35, Escondido Charter White Tigers 0

Week 3 of high school football came to an end in San Diego County this week and the San Ysidro Cougars are still undefeated. The Cougars came to play tonight as they defeated the Escondido Charter White Tigers 35-0. It was an interesting game as all of the points were scored in the first half.

Offensively, the Cougars seemed to be clicking and Jeremiah Martinez was the juggernaut. Martinez finished the night rushing for 123 yards and 2 touchdowns.

The most impressive play of the game was in the first quarter as Junior Bueno threw a 50-yard strike to Christopher Macias that was tipped up and caught. Macias was stopped just a yard short of the end zone which then set up Alejandro Bonneau for a 1-yard touchdown.

For the second year in a row, San Ysidro shutout the White Tigers, but this time it was on their home turf. Next week, the Cougars will face the Vincent Memorial Scots who are also 3-0. It should be exciting to see how this one will play out as both teams have been victorious over Escondido Charter this season.

Look out for San Ysidro this season because they are hungry in the South Bay. You can catch their highlights all season long on the Prep Pigskin Report.

PREVIEW: Is there a better way to start off a season than 2-0? How about 3-0! This week, the San Ysidro Cougars are looking to keep their undefeated streak going as they will host the Escondido Charter White Tigers in a non-conference game.

As far as it goes for Escondido Charter, they have not had the best start to their season as they still search for their first win. After being shut out last week, it will be interesting to see if the quarterback of the White Tigers, Georgiy Begaliyev, can hook up with his wide receiver, Shane L’etoile, for a touchdown.

Defensively, an important aspect for the White Tigers is being able to stop the Cougars quarterback, Junior Bueno

Throughout their first two games, the Cougars are averaging 34.5 points per game. Last year when these two teams faced one another, San Ysidro came out on top with a final score of 27-0.

The game this week will take place this week at 7 pm on Friday, September 8th. Feel free to tune into the Prep Pigskin Report for post-game highlights at 10:30 pm on Friday. To get the full PPR effect, you can follow our social media accounts @redjacketarmy.
