San Ysidro crash flings woman from vehicle
SAN YSIDRO (KUSI) – A 25-year-old woman suffered serious head trauma after she was flung from a vehicle in San Ysidro Sunday.
The woman was not wearing a seat belt when the car she rode in made an unsafe movement left and hit a palm tree at 4:38 a..m. in the 3800 block of Camino De La Plaza, San Diego Police Department Officer Dan Lasher said.
The car's driver suffered a broken ankle, Lasher said. Both were taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, Lasher said.
Police suspected alcohol to be a factor in the crash, Lasher said.
