School district to recognize “Todd Gloria Day” Friday

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – The San Diego Unified School District Board of
Education Tuesday night unanimously approved a proclamation honoring outgoing interim
Mayor Todd Gloria, a Madison High School graduate and among the first inductees
into the district's Hall of Fame.

“Todd Gloria has made a significant impact on society by continuing to
serve the community and making a positive difference in San Diego,” the
proclamation stated.

The board agreed to deem Friday “Todd Gloria Day” throughout the
district, the final day of classes before Kevin Faulconer is sworn-in as mayor.

Board President Kevin Beiser, who presented the proclamation, asked
those celebrating “Todd Gloria Day” to wear purple — Gloria's favorite
color.
